What the FOB is
The Forward Operating Base is your home between deployments. Activision describes it as more than a dozen stations, and most of DMZ’s progression runs through them.

Upgrading the FOB
The FOB grows in two ways:
- DMZ levels unlock an extra Operator slot, Gunsmith discounts, more Vendor stock and bigger Dog Tag Case payouts.
- 3D Printer upgrades are single-use print jobs. They raise your Bank limit and Stash capacity, cut MIA recovery costs and let you print rarer Ingredients.
Valuables (marked with a gem icon) can be sold for cash or spent on station upgrades, so do not sell them all early.
The Stash
The Stash starts at 40 items and 12 weapons, counted separately, and all your Active Duty Operators share it. It grows by 18 item slots at DMZ levels 22, 45 and 70, and by 6 weapon slots at levels 35 and 60. Resources do not use Stash slots; Ingredients do.
The Bank
Cash you extract goes into the Bank. It has a cap, which upgrades raise. The exact cap and upgrade steps have not been published.
Where to start
- Clear the first two DMZ Orders to open the Boss Board and learn the mode.
- Reach level 2 for the 3D Printer and print Bandages and a Medium Backpack.
- Save for the Gunsmith at level 10, and bring home every Weapon Manual you find.
