Operators
In DMZ an Operator is more than a skin. Each one has their own Traits, Dog Tag rank and Prestige.
- You start with two Active Duty slots. A third unlocks through DMZ levels, or from the start with the Vault Edition.
- One Operator per slot. You can change the skin without losing anything.
- Your Stash and Bank are shared by all your Active Duty Operators.
Dog Tag rank vs DMZ level
These are two separate tracks:
| Track | Belongs to | Range | What it gives |
|---|---|---|---|
| DMZ Player Level | Your account | 1 to 70 | FOB stations, recipes, rewards. See DMZ levels |
| Dog Tag rank | One Operator | Steel I to Onyx III (18 ranks) | One Trait Point per rank |
Operators you unlock with DMZ levels
The 33 launch Operators are shared between Multiplayer and DMZ. Four unlock through the DMZ Player Level:
| Operator | DMZ level |
|---|---|
| Reece | 4 |
| Coffey | 9 |
| Simone | 15 |
| Hector | 19 |
MIA
An Operator killed in a deployment goes MIA (missing in action) and cannot deploy until you deal with it.
- Recover them with DMZ Cash from your Bank. They come back with all their Traits and their Dog Tag rank, but no gear.
- Dismiss them to start fresh. The Traits are lost.
Cost. Recovery is priced by the Operator’s Trait Points, so a high-level Operator costs more. The formula has not been published. You can print MIA Recovery Discounts at the 3D Printer.
No time limit. MIA Operators stay on your list until you dismiss them.
Your Dog Tag. The player who killed you can take it. It comes back when you recover the Operator.
If your best Operator is MIA and you cannot afford them, deploy with a cheaper Operator in another slot and earn the cash there. Press recommend exactly this.
Items that may help
The Operator Rescue Beacon sounds like it helps with MIA, but Activision has not described what it does. We will add it here once it is confirmed.
